Daily Sketches

Here are a couple of drawings from yesterday and today. The first was done with a Sharpie pen. I drew our minister giving the lesson during Sunday class. Yes, I was listening! :)
The second drawing is a pair of gloves that I rarely wear. However, with getting a new dog, and as the weather gets cooler, I will probably be wearing them more often on our walks together. Done with India ink and pen nib.
The gloves idea is from an Everyday Matters group weekly drawing challenge.
For the sake of a little discipline, I am going to try to do a little drawing every day this week (and if things aren't too busy, the following weeks). It is alway good for an artist to keep up on his chops by exercising the basics on a consistent basis. Too often do I take for granted that drawing just comes naturally to me and so I don't take the important time to work at it.

I believe that I have the same pair of gloves. These are very nicely done.

Great sketches. I see more and more people are sketching during church time.

Oh, got a new dog? I haven't been at EDM for a while and must have missed out seeing some sketches as you surely would have some of a new dog. I'll have to scroll down a ways and see.

Awesome sketches!
I have a pair like these as well, which are actually ski gloves, and the funny thing is that I don't even ski, and I wear them when it's cold and windy outside and I have to ride my bicycle to work ^^

Love both sketches. I love how you caught the minister in motion. Maybe you would be interested in the Drawing in Church group. It also has a members blog as well. The group is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/drawinginchurch The blog is: http://drawinginchurch.blogspot.com/
Your drawing is worth showing off.

You've really captured the intense look of concentration on your Pastor's face, and I love the fine lines you used for the gloves. Nice to come across your blog through the EDM group.
