I just made this drawing up as I went. I started out with hatching and cross hatching, forming the face in the foreground. Contour lines were added after the fact.Drawn with a Sharpie pen.

Hi David.
I like your sketches a lot.
They seem to be different
versions of the same man
at different ages.
I like that cross-hatching
technique.
I'd like to do spontaneous
sketches in ink, so maybe
a Sharpie pen would be a good
way to start. Cheers.
You do a terrific job with Sharpies. There is no way to erase a mistake!
