Daily Sketch 46

This figurative sketch started as a quick gesture drawing that shows three different views of the same subject. Then cross hatching was used to solidify the imagery. I like using multiple views of the same figure because it sometimes has the effect of sequence, or a passing of time. Hey, this might be a good theme for a new art series.

Drawn with Sharpie pen.

The cross hatching is very very good. I think the theme would be a good series too!

I like your points of interest in exploring these very expressive characters.

This is a very accomplished sketch, one that you could definitely use as a point of departure in a painting. Reminds me of 3 minute poses that I used to draw on one sheet of paper. You could really develop this theme. The possibilities are endless!
