Daily Sketch 63

Here are a couple of experimental drawings. The first started out as a doodle where a figure emerges from the background to the forground. It is an approach that I am thinking about developing in to a possible illustrative style.
The second drawing plays with distorting the image. In this picture I drew my son as he was watching TV and I wanted the focus of the composition to be on his feet.

Drawn with a Sharpie pen.

Very cool sketches. I like the feet the best. Even though it is distorted, it reads as foreshortening and distance.

I agree with Linda. I like the one on the left also, but I see it with color in the background and the figure as it is.

The drawing on the left is a similar approach as the one I did for Daily Sketch 32 with which I digitally added color. I was also envisioning this drawing in color but just did not have the time to take it any further.

Great negative spaces in both. The feet are cool.
