Samantha is our calico cat. She is not the character that Frodo or Ruby is but she is very loving, especially to me. She adopted me when I had a job delivering newspapers in the mornings. She hopped into the front seat of my truck and then into the bed where boxes of newspaper were. Being on a tight deadline I didn't have time to try to get her out of the back of the truck, and since she seemed abandoned, I decided to let her sleep while I finished up my route. With nowhere for her to go, I decided to take her home. I think that is where our bond started to develop. Since then I am the only one that she likes to hold her. She gives me loving looks when I hold her.
Here she is posing for me on our footstool. Drawn with a 0.9mm mechanical pencil.

Wonderful sketch and I loved hearing how you acquired Samantha. Sometimes cats just pick us!
Great sketch - and a wise knowing look from Samantha!
What a sweet cat, and calico to boot! She was very wise to choose you. nancy
