Illustration Friday: "Old-Fashioned"

When I first read the topic for the week I was thinking of taking on imagery that focused on so-called 1950s values. Then somehow I got to thinking about being "stuck in the '80s", and immediately this image popped into my mind. I thought why pick on a generation from long ago when my generation has so much to offer.
I think I read somewhere that the reason we get "stuck" in a time period is because it is often those times of the past where we think of ourselves as most appealing. That's probably the reason for so many personal makeover shows.
Drawn with ink and watercolor.

Ha! It's no one that I know. It is just a made up guy. But who knows? Maybe it really is a person that only my subconscious remembers! :)
