Closing Up Shop!

A few weeks ago, my wife and I decided that we should start looking for a house to purchase, thinking it would take several months to find something that not only we liked, but could afford. To our surprise, we found a house quite quickly and now we are scrambling with getting packed and moved by the end of November, if not sooner. This is great news for my illustration business. Being that it is home based, a new and bigger house means that I will actually have an area dedicated to doing business and not have to utilize the kitchen, living room, or where ever to work on my art projects. I will even have a balcony where I can choose to work on paintings if the weather is nice.
So in order to focus on packing, moving, and organizing the house and studio, I am going to close up shop through the New Year. One thing I will continue to work on, however, is the 30 Characters Challenge. It is a pretty low key challenge, and it will be a good way to stay in touch with my drawing skills during the move. So I will be sure to post those drawings to the best of my ability.
Starting January 15th, I will resume studio operations and will be available to take on client projects, commissions, etc. By then I should be antsy enough to take on any project that comes down my line!

How exciting that you have found a house that meets your needs! You are smart to take a rest from the computer. Happy packing and unpacking!!

Great drawing! Congratulations on your future drawing studio. The balcony sounds great to me, not only for painting, but also for drawing. Hooray!
