Illustration Friday: "Proverb"

When I read the topic for this week's challenge, I immediately thought of the Biblical King Solomon. Inspired by Rembrandt's Prodigal Son as well as his etchings, this illustration shows a loving father who is striving to pass on jewels of wisdom to his son (as written in the book of Proverbs).
Even though Solomon acquired great wisdom, he still was not above carnal temptations. This image is not meant to be critical of Solomon, rather seeks to understand how such acquired wisdom could still not guide a person to make sound decisions. It also seeks to recognize that even though a person may fall short of perfection (like all humans), doesn't mean that we cannot learn from wisdom gained.

I like your approach to this! It isn't too predictable at all!
