Illustration Friday: Winter

Being a native Californian, I don't get a chance to see snow that much or experience extremely cold weather (although there are parts of the state that get cold enough to snow.) I always wondered if it is true that if you put your tongue on a pole that it will freeze to the surface. For me it is hard to fathom such severely cold temperatures, but who knows?
Illustration created with watercolors, pen/ink and brush/ink.

LOL. I grew up in Houston Tx and know for sure this can happen! Just take a popsicle out of the freezer...it seems like the fudge ones always worked best! I've had it stuck to my tongue a number of times!

yep, my 21 yr old son found this out for sure when he tried it on the freezer door. He had to explain all when I asked what all the red stuff was on the freezer door, his tongue had bled when he tried to pull it off, much to his sisters glee. Great drawing by the way

Great sketch! Getting your tongue stuck to the street lamp pole in the winter is practically a rite of passage for us Canadians.

This is just so funny, and reminds me of Dumb and Dumber ^^ I like the perspective and great use of white spaces as snow ^^
