Illustration Friday: Identical

I always dislike election time because everyone seems to have an opinion and, of course, everyone is right. In this illustration I'm basically depicting the two major parties, represented by Obama and Romney. They are walking over the middle class workforce and devouring them. This refers back to a Goya piece (who totally inspires me) of Saturn eating his young. Pretty horrific.

Illustrated with pen, brush, ink and watercolor.

Now you're on the drawing ball! As for political news I'm sick of receiving breaking news texts about it. Politics is something I should go look for information on when I'm interested not have it dumped on me all day every day. November is too far away it can't get over fast enough at this point.

I loathe election time. The lead up to the convention gets longer & longer. I call it the contest of liars. I am at a point where I don't know who is the lesser of two evils. I don't believe or have faith in the government and all I see, living in the city with the most foreclosures in the country, I see the middle class going right off the cliff. So grim is the unemployment in this state that I don't know if there is hope of recovery. I never thought I'd live to see the day when the country was in such dire straits. Sick of politics.

Thanks for all your comments. I didn't realize that I would strike a chord with this illustration.
