Thanksgiving Shopping

It seems like everyone (at least on Facebook) is up in arms about K Mart's announcing that they will be open for Thanksgiving. Personally, I'm staying home to enjoy family time, but with other traditional Thanksgiving Day activities such as watching football, parades, hunting, and going to the movies, why not shop? My only opposition is that the retail employees have to work during the holiday. However, there have been times when I have had to work on many holidays. The pay was good. Give it another year, and with how forgetful our society is, we won't be able to imagine the holidays without being able to go shopping.
